My name is Taylor.

I started sewing six years ago after commandeering my wife’s sewing machine in an attempt to make a pair of jeans. I have been making clothing and bags ever since, and spend nearly all of my free time drafting patterns, or happily hunched over a sewing machine.

The purpose of this blog is to document my experience learning how to design and make my own clothes. I am on a mission to create my entire wardrobe from scratch. It’s going to take a while.

Why? When I started I knew absolutely nothing about clothing design or sewing and I wanted a challenge. I also liked the idea of learning a new and useful craft.

I live in Nashville, TN with my wife and three crazy cats.
