The Beginning
At the end of 2009 in a loft far, far away…
There was a guy who wanted to learn how to make his own clothes. Why? Let’s just say that he knew absolutely nothing about it and wanted a challenge. He also liked the idea of learning a new and useful skill. In moments of over caffeinated day dreaming he even thought about launching a clothing line.
My name is Taylor and this is my blog. A place where I will document my attempt at learning how to sew and make clothing.

I wanted to thank you for leaving your older posts on the blog. I’m just starting and have made a shirt at this point from a store bought pattern. I’m about to embark down a similar path as you have traveled. I like seeing the evolution from n00b to where you are now. Thanks!
Thanks for checking out my blog Luke! I’ve thought about removing some of these old posts, but ultimately decided to leave everything. I also like looking back sometimes.
Good luck with your projects, and feel free to get in touch if I can help in any way.
Taylor (my daughter’s name), I have been fiddling with sewing for the last year (46 yr old male). I tried to make a collared button down shirt to start (mistake). Also tried a few other thing, making bow ties for the guys in my family. I have purchased tshirts and added to them: designs with paint, added stitching and fabric. I needed some motivation to keep going and try something more difficult to develop my skill. This website gives me hope and ideas. Good to see there are other guys that want to be creative and make clothes. This site is inspirational and am amazed at what you have made- jealous! Will continue to review your site and others you recommend. Am excited, thanks and keep it going!
